Job Description

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of combined hands-on experience in database administration of MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Must have worked on MySQL versions 5.7+ and MongoDB versions 4+
  • Hands-on experience on AWS Cloud Database service RDS.
  • Understand, Analyze & Ability to tune MySQL and MongoDB queries.
  • In-Depth knowledge of MySQL InnoDB engine.
  • Mongo Replication Cluster setup and maintenance with making sure 5 nines.
  • Good in Query tuning, and development tasks (writing/reviewing Queries and functions in MongoDB & Stored Procedures, Triggers, Functions for MySQL).
  • Install, configure, and upgrade database software and stable monitoring to ensure system stability.
  • Archive data from primary databases to archive locations. Perform schema data refreshes
  • Backup (Full & incremental & differential) / Online schema changes / Archival methodology.
  • 2+ years experience with Linux, including experience writing scripts.
  • Experience with MySQL Replication configuration (Master/Slave), setup and maintenance.
  • Good understanding over logical and physical modeling of databases.
  • Any working experience in Redshift is a plus (but not mandatory) Other AWS services experiences e. g., Document DB, DMS, S3 etc. is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for supporting and maintaining real-time mission-critical and decision-support databases in a highly available heterogeneous environment.
  • You will work in a collaborative team environment where changes are reviewed and communicated with all members.
  • Should drive projects from start to end by collaborating with all stakeholders and making sure no/minimal business impact.
  • Handle user requests in terms of complex query analysis, online schema changes and ensuring DB Policies are followed in terms of Analyzing slow queries Backups, Data retention/archive, Tuning applications for DB endpoints on Prod and non-prod Environments
