We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Participate in feasibility studies and PoCs
- Participate in estimation and project planning
- Analyse global requirements and question ambiguous requests.
- Develop technical designs taking into consideration sysplex compliance, 24×7 concepts and redundancy.
- Develop generic code to the highest standards
- Conduct review of design/code/test plan and test results
- Test Planning, strategy, validation.
- Release planning to GA shelf, and produce and publish documentation
- Coordinate post development support, troubleshoot issues raised by global applications
- Ensure proper project communication and coordination among team members, share knowledge and demonstrate willingness to learn and share experience.
- Communicate with the client regarding project progress, resolve issues related to delivery of product. Consider global requirements and communicate effectively across a diverse stakeholder range.

- Whilst self sufficiency is required, knowledge sharing is mandatory
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong understanding of zSeries SYSPLEX architecture, and how applications are deployed to it.
- Job Control Language (JCL): Control Cards, SDFS (Spool), TWS & JCL Utilities
- COBOL Programs & z/OS: Strong experience of COBOL Programs (working storage, copy books & sub routines) and z/OS concepts including mainframe utilities. Hands on knowledge on backward compatibility considerations and 24×7 programming techniques.
- DB2 (SQL): Strong understanding of relational database concepts and advanced SQL, including SQL Error Codes.
- CICS: Infrastructure Setup knowledge. Hands on with writing CICS programs in linkage with Front End Systems using MQ. Strong understanding of application integration concepts.
- TSO, ISPF: Hands on Knowledge
- Hands on Knowledge on REXX
- Knowledge of following tools – Endevor, File Manager, CLARITY, Fault Analyser, iDz, SONAR, Omegamon, Jira and Confluence
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self Sufficiency/Initiative: Demonstrate self-sufficiency on the role, combined with an initiative to resolve errors and provide solutions that attack the root cause of the problem.

- Knowledge of following – GIT, Jenkins, Ansible, Spring Tool Suite (STS), Docker, Kafka/GCP and event driven architecture concepts.
